    The City of Parksville has a workforce of approximately 95 full-time employees. ACCOUNTING CLERK I – RECEPTIONIST/CASHIER (Casual)

The City is seeking qualified applicants to work peak periods during March, June and October as well as other times as required to meet operational demands.

Incumbents in this customer service position will have a variety of general reception and cashier duties of moderate complexity. Tasks include responding to enquiries about property taxes, utilities, bus passes and dog licences; directing enquiries to other City departments; clerical support to the Finance department; balancing cash and bank deposits; and basic accounting.

ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST II
Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, this is a technical position requiring both office and field assignments related to municipal civil engineering.

DEPUTY CORPORATE OFFICER (temporary, part-time)
Reporting to the Manager of Administrative Services/Corporate Officer, the Deputy Corporate Officer assists the Manager in fulfilling statutory and administrative responsibilities including planning, coordination and directing the efficient organization and operation of the Administration Department.

MANAGER OF FINANCE
You will work in a collaborative environment to develop creative solutions to complex problems. You will exercise independent judgement in carrying out your duties, as you:

  • Manage accounting and payroll activities;
  • Supervise staff;
  • Complete year-end financial reporting, capital asset accounting and complex analyses;
  • Assist Director with financial planning budget processes; and
  • Provide technical advice and prepares analyses and reports for City staff and Council.
