Financial Planning Process

Each year, the City prepares a five-year financial plan to meet the needs of our community. Development of the plan is a complex process which includes input from City departments, background briefings for Council and public consultation.

Information about the City’s financial planning process which begins the fall may be viewed on Let’s Talk Parksville which includes presentations and reports to Council, previous years’ plans, news releases and a timeline for the process.

Public participation ensures our financial plan reflects the community’s current wants and needs and assists Council to determine the needs of a growing community while delivering on key priorities and projects.

• Attend financial plan meetings open to the public.
