Council meetings and Committee of the Whole meetings are formal meetings in which Council conducts the official business of the City of Parksville. Meetings are typically held in the Forum at City Hall, 100 Jensen Avenue East on the first and third Mondays of the month. If Monday is a holiday, meetings are scheduled to Wednesday. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings.
In accordance with the Community Charter and the Council procedure bylaw, a schedule of regular meetings for each upcoming year is approved by Council and published prior to December 31. You can view the approved regular meeting schedule below:
At the special Council meeting held October 20, 2021, Council passed a motion which changed the start time of Council meetings to 1 pm. The maximum for in-person attendance at Council meetings in the Parksville Civic and Technology is forty (40). Masks are mandatory.

Council also holds closed, in camera meetings to discuss confidential business as permitted under the Community Charter. Business conducted in these meetings is disclosed whenever possible in accordance with City Policy No. 2.30.

When required, the Advisory Design Panel meets on the second Thursday of each month at 2 pm in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre. Information on the Advisory Design Panel is available from the Planning Department at 250 954-3061.
