Annual Reports

Each year, the City of Parksville produces an annual report which is a snapshot of goals and accomplishments with reports from the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer as well as department achievements, permissive tax exemptions and financial statements and information.

The Community Charter requires all municipalities prepare an annual report before June 30 each year and under the provisions of the Community
Charter, the annual report is available for public inspection at least 14 days prior to Council considering the report. The annual report includes the following:

• Progress report on the performance of the City compared to
  established objectives
• Financial statements and supplemental financial information.
• List of the tax exemptions provided by Council and for each exemption, the amount of property taxes which would have been imposed on the property if not exempt.
• Report on municipal services and operations.
