The City has begun the process to finalize the Master Transportation Plan which identifies key transportation strategies for the City of Parksville. Public involvement is a key component of Parksville’s transportation decision-making process and we wish to provide opportunity for public participation and input. Public comments will help to inform Council’s decisions and ensure the updated plan continues to support growth and development and reflect current traffic demands.

Since the plan was first introduced in November 2009, the City adopted an Official Community Plan and completed the Storm Water Master Plan and Sanitary Master Plan. The updated Master Transportation Plan now reconciles with the OCP adopted in July 2013 and includes recommendations based upon updated traffic volumes.
