Policing within the City of Parksville, and the remainder of the Oceanside area, is carried out by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) who maintain a modern detachment in Parksville. There are approximately 24 municipal police officers and 13 provincial police officers serving Parksville and the surrounding area.
