Strata-Residential Water Rate Calculator
The City of Parksville's water rate billing system will change on October 1, 2009. As part of the new AquaStar Water Awareness program, the City will move from the current billing system to a multi-tiered billing system.
The water rate calculator will allow you to estimate the cost difference between the old and new billing system. The result will show a comparison of your approximate total water charge under the old billing system compared to what it would be in each year under the new billing system for the same consumption amount.
How to use the calculator to estimate your water charges:
- Begin by finding a recent utility bill (you may wish to use both March and
September consumptions to estimate your winter and summer charges). - Look for the consumption amount in cubic metres ( m3 ) on the statement.
- Enter the number of residential units and the water usage amount in the calculator below.
- Click on the Calculate button to see the results.
- Click on the Clear Fields button to reset the form for more calculation estimates.
Please Note: This rate calculator is for the water charge only. Sewer and garbage charges will also be included on your semi-annual utility bill.
