Neighbourhood and Nature Trail Parks

There are more than 20 other small neighbourhood parks interspersed throughout the City. Several of the neighbourhood parks are classified as nature trail parks. Each nature trail park is an oasis in an urban neighbourhood; each park highlights the natural beauty of the area and the City's dedication to preserving our natural environment.

Top Bridge Park is an example of a nature trail park, but there are several smaller nature trail parks which are well worth a visit too.

Ermineskin Nature Park
The Ermineskin Nature Park is a natural, treed park with 5 km of trails located in the southwest corner of town, bordered by the E&N Rail line to the north and Coldwater Road to the south.

The trails can be accessed from the west end of Despard Avenue via the Springwood Park trail or off Coldwater Road. This trail system joins up with the Maple Glen linear park. Trails are level and benches are strategically placed for rest stops.

Mark's Park
Mark's Park is a small nature park with easy access off Finholm Street. The trails are level and fairly accommodating for most people.
