A special meeting of Council will be held in the Civic and Technology Centre, 100 E. Jensen Avenue, Parksville, BC, on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 5:45 p.m. to consider the following items of business:

1. REPORTS

a) Chief Administrative Officer - 2008 Annual Report

Recommendation: THAT the 2008 Annual Report be received.

2. BYLAWS

a) "Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 1370.11"
The implementation of a new wildfire interface management Development Permit Area in accordance with the recommendations of the Community Wild Fire Protection Plan.

(i) Recommendation: THAT "Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 1370.11" be read a third time.

(ii) Recommendation: THAT "Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 1370.11" be adopted.

b) "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.73"
The implementation of a zoning bylaw amendment to permit urban food gardens.

(i) Recommendation: THAT "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.73" be read a third time.

(ii) Recommendation: THAT "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.73" be adopted.

c) "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.74"
The implementation of a zoning bylaw amendment to permit food concession trailers only within the Industrial I-1 zone.

(i) Recommendation: THAT "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.74" be read a third time.

(ii) Recommendation: THAT "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2009, No. 2000.74" be adopted.

3. NOTICE OF MOTION

a) Councillor Greir - Official Community Plan - From June 15, 2009 Regular Meeting of Council

Recommendation: THAT due to the uncertainty of the economy at the present time and the multitude of projects Council will be tackling over the next two and a half years, the Official Community Plan Review approved in the 2009 - 2013 Financial Plan be postponed until the end of 2011;
AND THAT staff be directed to maintain the status quo and continue bringing forward requests for Official Community Plan amendments as required.
