A Public Hearing will be held by the Council of the City of Parksville on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC to consider public representations on the proposed bylaws described below:

ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2008 NO. 2000.69

Proposed "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2008, No. 2000.69" would amend the "Zoning and Development Bylaw, 1994, No. 2000".

In general terms the purpose of the proposed Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw No. 2000.69 is to add to the RS-1 Zone a new "carriage house" provision which would permit a separate residential building containing a dwelling unit of up to 90 square metres in size.

ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2008, NO. 2000.70

Proposed "Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw, 2008 No. 2000.70" would amend the "Zoning and Development Bylaw, 1994, No. 2000".

In general terms the purpose of the proposed Zoning and Development Amendment Bylaw No. 2000.70 is to add miniature golf course as a permitted use to the Resort Area Tourist Accommodation RA-2A Zone.

INSPECTION OF PROPOSED BYLAWS AND RELATED MATERIALS

A copy of the proposed bylaws and documents related to the bylaws may be inspected at the Planning Department, Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC during regular office hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Monday through Friday excluding statutory holidays, from August 26, 2008 to and including September 3, 2008.

CONDUCT OF HEARING

At the Hearing, the public will be allowed to make representations to City Council respecting matters contained in the proposed bylaws and all persons who believe their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaws.
